As the month of October winds down, you may feel as though you have unfinished business – as though issues remain unresolved and decisions have yet to be made. You are not alone. In fact, most people will feel unsettled and somewhat confused as October comes to a close, due in large part to the continued influence of Mercury in retrograde. The good news is that November brings clarity back to business matters as well as adding in some serious opportunities for romance!
Mercury Straightens Out
As we enter the month of November, the planet Mercury begins to move out of retrograde. As Mercury “reverses” direction in preparation for resuming its natural course around the Sun we may all experience a couple of rocky days. Almost as if we ourselves are not sure which direction to go in – move forward or fall back? By the 10th of the month, however, Mercury will be chugging along again full speed ahead and the effects of its retrograde cycle should fade away.
The Personal Planets in November
The Sun moves into Scorpio for the majority of the month of November, bringing along with it Scorpio’s natural intensity and sexuality. In stark contrast to Scorpio’s heavy intensity, the Moon welcomes November in the humanitarian and eclectic sign of Aquarius. Venus also spends a good portion of the month in Scorpio as does Mercury while Mars remains in Capricorn for the month of November.
Romance and Sex
The first two weeks of November are all about sex. With the Sun, Mercury and Venus all in Scorpio it will be difficult not to think about sex. “Think” being the key word. You may find yourself analyzing past or present sexual relationships and/or acknowledging a “spark” you have been feeling with someone new. You may also find yourself doing a “status check” if you are currently in a serious relationship to determine where the relationship is at and where you want it to go. If you are not currently involved in a serious relationship you will likely spend some time during the beginning of the month trying to figure out why. The last half of November brings a more light hearted approach to sex and romance as the Sun and the new Moon move into Sagittarius around the 23rd following Venus’s move into Sagittarius on the 17th. Don’t be surprised if you suddenly take the initiative with a new love interest, even if it is not typical for you to do so. The spontaneous, bold, and adventurous Sagittarian influence may be just the nudge you need to jump start your love life.

Career and Business
Because the lingering effects of Mercury in Retrograde will still be present during the first week to ten days of November it is best to hold off making important career or business decisions until after the 10th of the month. Mercury also enters Scorpio on the 9th, bringing with it the shrewd Scorpion business sense. Be careful though that the heavily suspicious Scorpio influence during November does not cause you to pass on a career opportunity without good reason. The 23rd through the 28th, however, are excellent days for long-term planning with the Moon passing through Sagittarius, Capricorn and then Aquarius. Artistic and humanitarian endeavors also get a kick-start during the last week of November.

Home and Family
For the most part, home and family will take a second seat to romance and career during the month of November. The exception to this general rule will be during the end of the first week and into the second week of November when the new moon in Taurus shines the spotlight on home and family. In fact, don’t be surprised if you elect to spend the entire weekend at home with the family. You may even feel the sudden impulse to redecorate your home or personal space around the 6th of the month. With the Sun in Sagittarius and the Moon moving through Aquarius and then Pisces, the 27th through the 30th of November are excellent days to resolve family conflict or simply bring the family together for a project or outing.
